Chapter 2. Your Camera > Assignment 1: The Blindfold Test

Assignment 1: The Blindfold Test

Shooting video means operating your camera while looking through the viewfinder—or while looking at the scene. But you shouldn't be looking at the camera itself. At least not much. The more comfortable you get with handling your camera, and the more familiar you become with where all its important components are located, the better you will be at shooting video.

And so here we are: you, a camera, and a blindfold. (Okay, unless you are a professional kidnapper, you may not have a blindfold handy. No prob, close your eyes instead. I trust you.)
