Coverage

Coverage is a term from Hollywood that refers to making sure you record enough material—and the right kind of material—that you can edit something out of it.

Coverage is often described in terms of the camera shot used (like wide or close), as well as the structure (like beginning shots). But coverage means more than that. When you shoot something, you should have a sort of casual checklist in your head. This is what it would say:
