Chapter 11. Standard Effects in Action > Using the Echo Effect

Using the Echo Effect

The Echo effect displays frames from different times in a layer and combines them with the current frame.

Although the Echo effect doesn't refer to a separate modifying layer in the way that a compound effect does, it works in a similar fashion. The Echo effect cancels out other effects unless you precompose the layer before you apply the effect. And, of course, the Echo effect is only apparent where there''s motion within a frame.
