Viewing Motion Paths and Spatial Interpolation

When animated, only three property types result in a motion path: layer position, effect point, and anchor point. To manipulate spatial interpolation, make sure you can view the proper controls in the Composition or Layer windows. Position and effect-point paths appear in a Composition window; anchor-point paths appear in a Layer window. The following tasks describe how to use the pull-down menus in each window to view the information you need.

To show or hide motion-path information in the Composition window:

In the Composition window's pull-down menu, select the information you want to show (Figure 13.18). A check indicates that the information appears in the Composition window; no check indicates that it is hidden (Figure 13.19).
