Adjusting Temporal Interpolation in the Speed and Velocity Graphs

Speed and velocity graphs take some getting used to: Although curve-manipulation techniques are similar in principle to other path-editing techniques, they feel different in practice. Don't worry: With patience and experience, you'll get the hang of them.

In speed and velocity graphs, ease handles are comparable to the direction handles on a Bézier curve. Like direction handles, ease handles influence the shape of the curve. In this case, however, the curve charts a change in speed—acceleration and deceleration (Figure 13.72).
