Adjusting Temporal Interpolation in the Value Graph

For nonspatial properties, you can adjust temporal interpolation in either a value graph or a velocity graph. Adjusting the rates of change in the value graph is much like creating Bézier curves in a motion path. In the value graph, the property value is measured vertically, and time is measured horizontally.

To toggle between linear and auto Bézier temporal interpolation:

1.
Expand the layer outline to reveal an animated layer property.

In either the property's track in the time ruler or in the value graph, Command-click (Mac) or Ctrl-click (Windows) a Keyframe icon to toggle between linear and auto Bézier interpolation (Figure 13.66).

The Keyframe icon changes from Bézier-type interpolation to linear, or from linear to auto Bézier (Figure 13.67).
