Copying and Pasting Effects

To save time and labor, you can copy effects from one layer into another.

To copy a layer's effects into another layer:

1.
In the Effect Controls window, select one or more effects (Figure 10.53).

2.
Select Edit > Copy, or press Command-C (Mac) or Ctrl-C (Windows).

3.
In the Timeline window, select one or more layers (Figure 10.54).

4.
Choose Edit > Paste, or press Command-V (Mac) or Ctrl-V (Windows).

The selected layer contains the pasted effects; however, it does not contain the same keyframes (Figure 10.55).
