Setting Values in the Effect Controls Window

Many effect properties can be set numerically via scrubbable hot text, or by using a contextual menu to open a value dialog box (see Chapter 7). Alternatively, you can use a Value slider. The range of values represented by the slider do not necessarily represent the maximum value range for the effect property. If necessary, you can change the slider's range.

To set values using a slider:

1.
If necessary, click the triangle next to the name of the layer property to reveal a slider control.

2.
Drag the slider left or right to change the value of the property (Figure 10.35).

The current numeric value appears as an underlined number next to the effect property.
