Viewing Expressions

Although expressions don't create keyframes, you can see how an expression modifies the property by revealing a property graph.

To view an expression graph:

1.
Expand the layer outline to reveal the layer property containing the expression.

2.
In the Switches panel, press the Graph Overlay icon (Figure 15.75).

Graphs appear below the expression (Figure 15.76). A black graph shows the property's value or speed/velocity before the expression is applied; a red graph shows the property's value or speed/velocity after the expression has been applied. See Chapter 14 for more about reading property graphs.
