Nesting

Back in Chapter 4, you learned that a composition used as a layer in another composition is called a nested composition. Such compositions can serve various interconnected purposes.

Nesting enables you to treat several layers as a group (in much the same way that you group various elements in other graphics programs, such as Illustrator and Quark Express). When working with a nested composition, you can manipulate several layers as a unit rather than keyframe each individually (Figure 15.1 and Figure 15.2).
