Relayering Tracks

When adding visual tracks to a movie, you may do so in the wrong order so that one track is layered on top of another when you really want it to be in back. (Added tracks are placed on top of existing tracks.) QuickTime Player lets you reorder the track layers so that you can fix this problem.

To change the layer of a track:

1.
From the Movie menu, choose Get Movie Properties to open the Properties window.

2.
From the left pop-up menu, choose a track you want to reorder; from the right pop-up menu, choose Layer.

3.
In the Layer panel (Figure 8.19), click the down arrow to decrease the layer number or the up arrow to increase the layer number.
