Creating a Picture-in-a-Picture Effect

Another interesting effect—this one adapted from television—is the picture-in-a-picture effect. You can create this effect by using techniques covered earlier in this book.

To create a picture-in-a-picture effect:

1.
Open two movies, select data from one, copy that data, and add it to the other (refer to steps 1 through 4 on the previous page).

2.
Open the Size panel of the Properties window (refer to steps 5 and 6 on the previous page).

3.
Click the Adjust button.

Click inside the movie window to make it active.

5.
Click one of the red marks in the image’s corners, and drag toward the center of the image to shrink it.

6.
If you want to move the image, click anywhere other than a red mark, and drag the image to the desired location (Figure 8.17).
