Chapter 8. Working with Visual Tracks > Creating a FLC Animation from a Movie

Creating a FLC Animation from a Movie

You can export a QuickTime movie in the FLC format, which is commonly used for animations on Windows systems. This format doesn’t include sound, so only the visual data in your movie will be exported.

FLC files contain only 256 colors, so you need to specify which set of 256 colors you want to use. You can choose the 256 colors that the Mac employs or the 256 colors that Windows uses. (On a Mac, you can have QuickTime pick the set of 256 colors that most closely matches the original image.)
