Specifying a Language for a Track

You generally want to designate specific languages for tracks when you are setting up alternate-language tracks (as described in the preceding section). You may also want to designate specific languages for tracks in multimedia projects for which you are using an authoring tool that can refer to tracks by language.

To specify the language of a track:

1.
From the Movie menu, choose Get Movie Properties (Figure 7.17).

The Properties window for the movie appears.

From the left pop-up menu, choose the track to which you’d like to assign a language; from the right pop-up menu, choose Alternate.

In the Alternate panel (Figure 7.18), click the top Set button.

In the Set Track Language dialog box, select the appropriate language for your track, and click OK (Figure 7.19).

The selected language appears in the Properties window (Figure 7.20).
