Chapter 5. The QuickTime Standard Controllers > Moving Zoomed-In VR Objects

Moving Zoomed-In VR Objects

If you want to view a portion of a QuickTime VR object that is offscreen because the movie has been zoomed in, you need to shift the object to the right, left, up, or down.

To move zoomed-in objects:

1.
Click the Drag Zoomed Object button (the one with the arrows pointing in four directions; Figure 5.21) or hold down the Option key (Mac) or the Ctrl and Alt keys (Windows).

Figure 5.21. Use the Drag Zoomed Object button, or hold down the Option key (Mac) or the Ctrl and Alt keys (Windows), when you want to move a zoomed-in object.

The pointer changes to look like the icon on the Drag Zoomed Object button (Figure 5.22).

Figure 5.22. The pointer changes to show that you are in object-moving rather than object-rotating mode.

2.
Click and drag in the direction in which you want to move the object.

The object retains its rotational position as you drag it (Figure 5.23).

Figure 5.23. Notice that the object has not changed its rotational position.
