237 Chapter 10. Text Tracks Of all the QuickTime track types, text tracks are perhaps the least used, but they have tremendous potential. They allow you to caption a movie, and they're also searchable (as described in Chapter 3), which adds a level of interactivity to movies. Text tracks are easy to create from scratch, requiring no special tools other than a simple text or word processor (in conjunction with QuickTime Player). In this chapter, we'll show you how to create text tracks, as well as how to alter their appearance and behavior. When you have a text track, you can combine it with other tracks as described in Chapter 7; you can also change its position and appearance as described in Chapter 8. At the end of this chapter, we'll cover turning text tracks into chapter lists. Creating a Text Track by Importing a Text File
