Chapter 11. Sprite, 3D, and Flash Tracks > Changing the Renderer for a 3D Track...

Changing the Renderer for a 3D Track (Mac OS 9 and Windows only)

You can render 3D objects with a variety of techniques. By specifying which technique is used to render an object, you determine how it looks.

To change the renderer for a 3D track:

1.
From the Movie menu, choose Get Movie Properties.

2.
From the left pop-up menu, choose the 3D track; from the right pop-up menu. choose Renderer.

3.
In the Renderer panel (Figure 11.18), select a renderer.

The QuickDraw 3D Interactive renderer shows solid surfaces for the 3D objects (Figure 11.19). The Default option is the same as the interactive renderer unless the original 3D file specified some other renderer as its default.

The QuickDraw 3D Wireframe renderer removes any textures from the model, leaving only the wire frame that defines the object’s geometry (Figure 11.20).
