Chapter 11. Sprite, 3D, and Flash Tracks

Chapter 11. Sprite, 3D, and Flash Tracks

Sprite, 3D, and Flash tracks are the tracks with a visual component that we haven’t yet covered. Although these track types are very different, they have one thing in common: You can’t do much with them in QuickTime Player. Sprite and Flash tracks also share the honor of being the track types that can contain interactive, clickable elements.

In this chapter, we’ll give you a little more background on each of these track types and cover the few QuickTime Player techniques for creating and altering these tracks.

If you have existing movies with sprite, 3D, or Flash tracks, you can use many of the techniques covered in chapters 6, 7, and 8 that apply to all movies, tracks, and visual tracks.

Note, however, that QuickTime under Mac OS X does not support QuickTime’s 3D track.
