Chapter 4. QuickTime VR in the Player > Presenting QuickTime VR Movies

Presenting QuickTime VR Movies

You can show a QuickTime VR movie on a black background, just as you can a linear QuickTime movie. This method is how we recommend showing VR movies to large groups of people.

To present a QuickTime VR movie:

1.
Drag your movie into the rotational position you’d like it to appear in when the presentation begins.

2.
From the Movie menu, choose Present Movie (Figure 4.16).

Figure 4.16. Choose Movie > Present Movie.

The Present Movie dialog box appears.

3.
From the Movie Size pop-up menu, choose a movie-window size.

4.
Click Play (Figure 4.17).

Figure 4.17. Change the movie size (if you want); then click Play.

Your screen goes black, and the movie appears in the center of the screen (Figure 4.18). You can control the movie by using any of the techniques described in this chapter that don’t require the use of buttons: You can drag to change your view, zoom in by using the Shift key, zoom out by using the Control or Ctrl key, click hot spots, and drag zoomed objects.
