Chapter 4. QuickTime VR in the Player > Moving Zoomed-In Objects

Moving Zoomed-In Objects

Normally, when you drag in an object movie, you change the rotational position of the object. When an object movie is zoomed in, however, you may want to view a portion of the image that is offscreen. You can do so by adjusting the object so that the portion you want to view becomes visible.

To move zoomed-in objects:

1.
Hold down the Option key (Mac OS) or the Ctrl and Alt keys (Windows).

The pointer changes to a four-headed arrow (Figure 4.14).

Figure 4.14. The cursor changes to show that you are in object-moving rather than object-rotating mode.

2.
Click and drag in the direction in which you want to move the object.

The object retains its rotational position as you drag it (Figure 4.15).

Figure 4.15. Notice that the object has not changed its rotational position.
