Zooming In and Out

Zooming in on a QuickTime VR movie is like using a zoom lens on a camera: it allows you to get a closer look at the image. Zooming out does just the opposite: it allows you a wider perspective.

To zoom in:

  • Click the Zoom In button. This button is marked with a plus sign (Figure 4.11).

    or

  • With the pointer in the movie window, press the Shift key.

If you keep holding down the mouse button or pressing the Shift key, you continue to zoom in until the image has been magnified as much as possible—or as much as the movie’s creator has specified (Figure 4.12).

To zoom out:

  • Click the Zoom Out button.

This button is marked with a minus sign (Figure 4.11).

    or

  • With the pointer in the movie window, press the Control key or the Ctrl key. If you keep holding down the mouse button or pressing the Control or Ctrl key, you continue to zoom out until the image has been zoomed out as much as possible (Figure 4.13).
