Using AppleScript to Control QuickTime (Mac OS only)

One of the cool things about QuickTime Player is that it can be controlled by AppleScript. AppleScript is a relatively easy-to-use, Englishlike scripting language. (You can see an example in Figure 1.35.) You can use files containing AppleScript commands to control your computer, accomplishing many of the things you can do with menu commands and buttons, but faster and more efficiently.
