Choosing Sound Compression Settings

Even though sound isn’t as data-heavy as video, you’ll still want to compress it for Web playback.

You make your sound compression choices in the Sound Settings dialog box (Figure 16.21), which you access during the general export and compression process described in “Preparing Movies for HTTP Streaming” and “Preparing Movies for RTSP Streaming” earlier in this chapter. On this page and the following, we’ll provide some Web-specific guidance for making your sound compression choices. See Chapter 13 for more in-depth coverage of this dialog box.
