Chapter 15. Delivery Basics

Chapter 15. Delivery Basics

So you’ve finished editing your movies, and you’d like to distribute them to the world (or even just to your mother). A variety of delivery channels are available for QuickTime movies, including the Web, CD-ROMs, kiosks, Zip disks, and—if the movies are small enough—floppies. We’ll cover the specifics of all these options in the following chapters.

Regardless of how you want to distribute your movies, you need to understand some basic concepts and know how to accomplish some tasks. In this chapter, we’ll explain such concepts as data rate and go over methods for preparing movies for final distribution. We’ll also talk about incorporating movies into media presentations created with multimedia tools.
