Presenting a Movie Frame by Frame (in Slide-Show Mode)

At times, you may want to present a movie a frame at a time—if your movie comprises a sequence of still images that make little sense when shown in rapid succession, for example, or if you want to analyze a clip closely.

To present a movie a frame at a time:

1.
Position the Current Location indicator at the frame you’d like to show first.

From the Movie menu, choose Present Movie (Figure 3.14).

In the Present Movie dialog box, use the Movie Size pop-up menu to choose your movie-window size (Figure 3.15).

Click the Slide Show radio button to select it as the mode (Figure 3.16).

Click Play.

The current frame appears against a black background (Figure 3.17).

Figure 3.17. The current frame appears against a black background. Click anywhere to show the next frame, or use the right- and left-arrow keys to move forward and backward a frame at a time. To exit the slide show, press the Esc key.


6.
Click the mouse button to show each subsequent frame, or press the right- and left-arrow keys to move forward and backward a frame at a time.
