Stepping Through a Movie Frame by Frame

Most QuickTime movies are composed of a sequence of individual images, or frames. You can step through a QuickTime movie frame by frame if you want to view each image on its own. Unlike earlier versions of the Player, however, QuickTime Player 5 has no buttons that allow you to do this.

To step through a movie frame by frame:

  • Press the right-arrow key on your keyboard to step forward a frame.

  • Press the left-arrow key on your keyboard to step backward a frame.
