Chapter 18. Advanced Techniques for Web ... > Adding Attributes to an EMBED Tag

Adding Attributes to an EMBED Tag

In addition to the SRC, HEIGHT, WIDTH, and QTSRC attributes covered in Chapter 17, you can use other attributes to specify appearance or playback characteristics of your movie. Some attributes, such as VOLUME, LOOP, and PLAYEVERYFRAME, merely do things that you can do in QuickTime Player, such as change the volume or set the movie to loop or play every frame (see Chapter 3). Others, such as PAN, TILT, FOV, NODE, CORRECTION, and HOTSPOT, are intended for QuickTime VR movies. These attributes allow you to specify properties that you also can specify when you create VR movies. Still other attributes have Web-specific qualities.

Table 18.1 provides a complete list of known attributes. In this section, we’ll show you how to add attributes and then examine some of the most useful attributes and discuss why you might want to use them.
