762 Chapter 18. Video and Audio Settings At every major step in the editing process--capture, edit, and output--you encounter settings that control the basic attributes of the video and audio. The settings you choose for one step of the process may not be the best choices for another. To make intelligent choices, you should have a basic understanding of topics such as frame rates, frame sizes, compression, and audio quality. You should familiarize yourself not only with how these settings relate to video displayed on computers, but also with how they relate to video displayed on television. This chapter helps you choose settings in Premiere, but it also helps you understand some of the fundamental principles of all digital video. Of course, it can offer only brief explanations of the matters directly referenced in Premiere. Choosing Settings
