Using Palettes

Premiere 5 redesigned windows and palettes to use the screen space more efficiently. Premiere 6 refines and enhances the ways palettes work and organize information, particularly in the Commands, Effects, and Transitions palettes. The current version also introduces the History palette to Premiere. This section deals with the features common to all of Premiere's palettes. Individual palettes are discussed in more detail later.

You'll find that Premiere's palettes are consistent with those in other Adobe programs, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects. As in other Adobe programs, you can group palettes or dock them so that they're attached to one another.
