Chapter 14. Motion Settings > Viewing Time in the Motion Timeline

Viewing Time in the Motion Timeline

When you select a keyframe in the motion timeline, a display expresses its position in time as a percentage of the clip's duration. The Start keyframe is always at 0%; the Finish keyframe is always at 100%. A keyframe halfway through the clip would be 50%, and so on. Though this display is useful in relative terms, it can sometimes be difficult to determine what it means in terms of actual time.

Under the percentage display, the position of the selected keyframe is also expressed in minutes, seconds and frames. Depending on your choice, the display can indicate the time of the selected keyframe as measured from the beginning of the source clip (not its in point) or from the beginning of the program.
