Audio Clip Windows

When loaded into the source view of the Monitor window, audio clips work the same way as movie clips. In the source view, audio clips display an audio icon.

When you open an audio clip in a separate clip window, however, it looks and operates slightly differently from the clip window for movies. See the following section, "Using Audio Clip Windows."

To open an audio clip in the source view:

Do one of the following:

  • Double-click an audio-only clip in the project, or drag it to the source view.

    or

  • Double-click the audio portion of the clip in the audio track of the timeline.

    The audio clip opens in the source view (Figure 4.24).

To open a separate clip window for audio:

  • -double-click the audio clip in the Project window or in an audio track of the timeline.

    The audio clip opens in a separate audio-clip window (Figure 4.25).
