Getting Around the Timeline

You can navigate the program in the timeline in several ways. You can zoom in, zoom out, and scroll through the timeline. You can also use the new Navigator palette to find your way.

To view part of the program in more detail:

Do any of the following:

  • From the Time Unit pull-down menu, choose a smaller time increment (Figures 6.31 and 6.32).

  • In the Navigator palette, drag the time unit slider to the right (Figure 6.33), or click the magnify icon .

  • In the toolbox of the Timeline window, select the zoom tool and then click the part of the timeline that you want to see in more detail.

  • In the toolbox of the Timeline window, select the zoom tool and then drag a marquee around the area of the timeline that you want to see in detail (Figure 6.34).
