Color

By using the two large, overlapping color swatches in the title window, you can control the color of an object and the color of its shadow independently. Use the left swatch to choose the color of the object; use the right swatch to choose the color of the shadow. Note that the selected swatch appears in front of the other. As you'll learn in the following sections, selecting the object or shadow color swatch also lets you control opacity and gradient levels.

To set object and shadow color:

1.
Do either of the following:

  • Select an entire object.

    or

  • Select a range of text.

To select the color swatch of the color you want to change, do either of the following:

  • To select the object color, click the object color swatch (the left swatch) or press .

    or

  • To select the shadow color, click the shadow color swatch (the right swatch) or press .

The selected color swatch appears in front of the other (Figure 12.112).

Click the selected color swatch to open the Color Picker window.

Choose a color (Figure 12.113).
