Chapter 12. Creating Titles > Using Filled and Framed Objects

Using Filled and Framed Objects

Unlike the objects you create in Adobe Illustrator, which can be both filled and stroked, the objects you create in Premiere must be either filled or framed. Commands allow you convert a framed object to a filled object (and vice versa), however, or to create a framed version of a filled object (and vice versa).

To change a framed object to a filled object, or vice versa:

1.
Select a framed or filled object (Figure 12.94).

Figure 12.94. Select a framed or filled shape. Here, a framed shape is selected.

2.
Choose either of the following (Figure 12.95):

Figure 12.95. Depending on the object you selected, choose Title > Convert to Filled (shown) or Title > Convert to Framed.

  • Title > Convert to Filled

  • Title > Convert to Framed

The selected object changes, according to your choice (Figure 12.96).

Figure 12.96. In this case, the framed object changes to a filled object with the same dimensions.
