Graphic Objects

The title window includes tools for creating graphic objects: straight lines, rectangles, ellipses, and polygons. You can create shapes that are framed (outlines only) or filled. You can control the thickness of lines and framed objects and specify whether polygons have sharp or rounded corners. As usual, you can change an object's position, shape, color, and other attributes at any time.

To create a straight line:

1.
Select the line tool (Figure 12.79).

2.
Do either of the following:

  • Drag in the drawing space to draw a line of any angle or length (Figure 12.80).

    or

  • -drag to constrain the angle of the line to 45-degree increments.
