Chapter 12. Creating Titles > Justifying Text

Justifying Text

As in many graphics and text-editing programs, the text you create in Premiere's title window can be justified left, center, or right. Note that the text is justified within its bounding box, not within the title window itself. For more information about positioning an object in respect to the drawing area, see the section "Moving Objects" later in this chapter.

To justify text in the text object's bounding box:

1.
Position the insertion point in the line of text you want to justify (Figure 12.62).

Figure 12.62. Position the insertion point in the line of text you want to justify.

2.
Choose one of the following (Figure 12.63):

Figure 12.63. Choose Title > Justify >, and choose a justification option.

Title > Justify > Left—to position the line of text flush left in the bounding box.

Title > Justify > Right—to position the line of text flush right in the bounding box.

Title > Justify > Center—to center the text horizontally in the bounding box.

The selected text object is justified within its bounding box (Figure 12.64).

Figure 12.64. All three lines of text are centered horizontally but justified differently: left, center, and right.
