Chapter 12. Creating Titles > Copying Text Attributes

Copying Text Attributes

Premiere's title window also allows you to copy the attributes from one range of text or text object to another. This feature can be useful for matching a text style quickly, without revisiting many menu commands.

To copy attributes from one range of text to another:

1.
Double-click a text object to enter text-editing mode, and place the insertion point in the text that has the attributes you want to copy (Figure 12.58).

Figure 12.58. Place the insertion point in the text that has the attributes you want to copy.

See the section "Selecting Text" earlier in this chapter.

2.
Choose Title > Copy Type Style (Figure 12.59).

Figure 12.59. Choose Title > Copy Type Style.

3.
Select the characters of the text to which you want to copy the attributes (Figure 12.60).

Figure 12.60. Select the range of text to which you want to paste the style.

4.
Choose Title > Paste Type Style.

Attributes (font, size, color, etc.) are copied to the selected text (Figure 12.61).

Figure 12.61. The text takes on the attributes of the text you copied earlier.
