Selecting Text

You can set most text attributes before you create a text object. But if you want to edit text that is already in the title window (or modify its other attributes), you must first select all or part of the text.

To select text for editing:

1.
To select text, do any of the following:

  • Using the selection tool, click the text object to select the entire text object (Figure 12.44).

  • Using the selection tool, double-click the text object to quickly switch to the type tool and set an insertion point (Figure 12.45).

  • Using the type tool , click the text object to position the insertion point in the text.

  • Using the type tool, drag to select a range of text (Figure 12.46).

Type to change the selected text, or insert text at the insertion point. You can also change other attributes of selected text, such as font, size, and color. See the section "Font, Style and Size" later in this chapter.

3.
When you finish making changes to the text, click an empty area of the title window to exit text-editing mode.
