Chapter 15. Creating Output > Recording to Tape

Recording to Tape

If your computer can output a video signal, you can record your program to videotape by using either the Print to Video or Export to Tape command. The term print really isn't far from the truth; in effect, you're creating a "hard copy" of your video file. You can print to video in three ways: directly from the program, from a single clip, or from a storyboard.

When you record directly from the program or storyboard, the settings that you specify in the Project Settings dialog box (see Chapter 2) determine the characteristics of the final video, such as the frame size and compression.
