Chapter 11. Adding Effects > Modifying Effect Keyframes

Modifying Effect Keyframes

After you set keyframes, you can adjust their values or their position in time. You must cue the edit line to a keyframe before you can adjust it.

To cue to keyframes:

1.
Select a clip containing effects, and position the edit line somewhere in the clip.

If the clip contains effect keyframes, a keyframe navigator appears next to the track name.

2.
In the keyframe navigator, click either of the following (Figure 11.47):

Figure 11.47. Use the keyframe-navigator buttons to cue the edit line to the next or previous keyframe in the selected clip. When the edit line is on a keyframe, a check appears between the cue buttons.

—cues the edit line to the next keyframe in the selected clip.

—cues the edit line to the previous keyframe in the selected clip.

When the edit line is cued to a keyframe, a check appears in the keyframe navigator. Adjusting an effect's settings when cued to a keyframe adjusts the settings at the keyframe.
