Lesson 12. Virtual Clips > Creating duplicate clips

Creating duplicate clips

You'll start this lesson by creating three duplicate clips from the Surf.mov master clip. These duplicate clips are automatically added to the Project window when you create them. You'll use them in the next exercise to create your program.

You can create a duplicate clip by copying a clip in a Bin area in the Project window and then pasting the copy to a specified bin. Using this method, you name the duplicate clip when you paste it in a bin. Alternatively, you can drag a clip from the Source view to a specified Bin area in the Project window. This method allows you to set new In points and new Out points for duplicates that are shorter subsets of the original master clip.
