Developing a storyboard and using Automate-to-Timeline

Before assembling a rough-cut of a video program, editors often create a storyboard. A storyboard is a visual outline of the project—a collection of sketches or still shots which, in combination with descriptions, indicates the flow of the story.

In Adobe Premiere 6.0, the Storyboard window makes it easy for you to create a storyboard using poster frames to represent clips. You can easily and quickly organize a set of clips in a Storyboard window. When you are satisfied with their sequence, you can move the storyboard into the Timeline window using the Automate-to-Timeline command to create a rough cut video.
