Exporting the movie

Now that you've finished your editing, it's time to generate a movie file.

1.
If you turned off audio previewing earlier in the lesson, make sure you turn it on again by clicking the icon at the left edge of each audio track so that it changes to the speaker icon ().

2.
Choose File > Export Timeline > Movie.

3.
In the Export Movie dialog box, click the Settings button. Make sure QuickTime is selected for the File Type and Entire Project is selected for the Range. Also make sure that Export Video and Export Audio are selected. The default values for other settings, including those for compression, are fine for this project.

4.
Click OK to close the Export Movie Settings dialog box.

5.
In the Export Movie dialog box, specify the 06Lesson folder for the location and type Glass1.mov for the name of the movie. Click Save (Windows) or OK (Mac OS).

Premiere starts making the movie, displaying a status bar that provides an estimate for the amount of time it will take. When the movie is complete, it opens in the Source view.

6.
Click the Play button () to play the movie you've just created.
