Viewing Properties

You can view any number of a layer's properties by expanding your view of the layer in the Time Layout window. Layer properties are displayed much like an outline, in which you can progressively expand the outline headings to reveal individual properties. Expanding the layer outline to show an individual property reveals both the property's current value, as well as a property track, which is a graph of how property's values change over time.

The following section deals with how to view properties in the layer outline. Controlling how these properties change over time is explained in, "Controlling Layer Properties with Keyframes," later in this chapter.
