Chapter 16. Output > Using the Render Queue Window

Using the Render Queue Window

Among other things, the Render Queue window is just that: a queue, or line of compositions waiting to be rendered.

To manage items in the render queue:

1.
If the Render Queue window is not open, choose Window > Render Queue (Figure 16.16).

A Render Queue window appears. Previously queued compositions are listed in the queue.

2.
In the Render Queue window, do any of the following:

To add a composition to the queue, drag a composition icon from the Project window to the Render Queue window (Figure 16.17).

To remove a composition from the queue, select a composition in the queue and press Delete.

To change the order of the compositions in the queue, drag a composition up or down (Figure 16.18).

A dark horizontal line indicates where the composition's new position in the queue will be when you release the mouse.

To prevent a composition in the queue from rendering, click the Render option box to uncheck it (Figure 16.19).

The composition remains in the list, but its status becomes "Unqueued," and it will not render until you check the Render option box.
