Adjusting Temporal Interpolation in the Speed and Velocity Graphs

At first, speed and velocity graphs can be difficult to get used to. Manipulating the curve bears similarities withother path editing techniques in principle, but feels different in practice. With patience and experience, you'll get the hang of it.

In a speed or velocity graph, ease handles are comparable to the direction handles on a Bézier curve. Like direction handles, ease handles influence the shape of the curve. In this case, however, the curve charts a change in speed—acceleration and deceleration (Figure 13.73).
