Setting the EPS Options

As long as you're getting familiar with the Interpret Footage dialog box, there's one more option to explore—and that's, well, Options. The Options button gives you access to an EPS Options dialog box, which allows you to control the rasterization method used for EPS images. You can choose between a faster, but lower-quality method, or a more-accurate , slower method. To learn more about rasterization, see the sidebar, "Rasterization," in Chapter 5.

To set the EPS Options:

1.
In the Project window, select an EPS footage item (Figure 2.91).

Faster— rasterizes the footage more quickly, but represents smooth edges and color gradients less accurately.

More Accurate— rasterizes using a slower, but higher quality method. This helps avoid rough or hard edges on objects, and color banding in gradients.

5.
Click OK to close the dialog box.
