Setting the Frame Rate

Generally, you use the footage's native frame rate, which also matches the frame rate of the composition. Sometimes, however, you want to specify a frame rate for a footage item manually.

Because features like time stretch (Chapter 6) and time remapping (Chapter 11) provide finer control over a layer's playback speed, it's more common to set the frame rate for image sequences.
