Setting Color in the Effect Controls Window

The Effect Controls window allows you to choose colors by selecting a color swatch to open a color picker, or by selecting an eyedropper to sample a screen color.

To set the color using a color picker:

1.
For an effect in the Effect Controls window, click the color swatch to open a color picker (Figure 10.30).

A color picker appears (Figure 10.31).

2.
On the left side of the color picker window, choose a color model.

The color picker changes according to the model you choose.

3.
In the color picker, choose a color by doing one of the following:

Click on the color selector

Use the value sliders

Type numbers into the color fields.

Note that the type of selector available will vary depending on the color model you chose.

4.
Click OK to close the color picker.

The color you selected appears in the color swatch for the effect property.
