A Quick Tour of Adobe After Effects >  Creating a motion path

Creating a motion path

A motion path illustrates the path along which a layer moves. You can create a motion path in After Effects by moving a layer around the Composition window and setting Position keyframes at different points in time. After Effects can create motion paths using Bezier interpolation, with smooth corners and curved lines; or Linear interpolation, with straight lines and sharp corners; or a combination of both.

In this part of the tour, you'll add another layer to the composition, and then you'll create a Linear motion path for the layer.
